Primo is an exclusive dark red apple variety whose main characteristics are its fresh sweet-sour taste, crispness and juicy flesh.

A Primo apple also keeps extremely well. It is a tasty fresh snack but also extremely suitable as a cooking and baking apple. The juicy and firm character of the flesh makes Primo the perfect ingredient for your cooking and baking creations.

Primo is not exactly a cross between two other varieties. Twenty years ago, a branch with extremely red apples was discovered in an orchard. We selected and ooculated this branch and from then on the Primo apple was born.

Primo apples have been grown for fifteen years by a dozen selected Belgian growers. All Primo apples are stored and packed at one central location, specifically in Bekkevoort. All this to guarantee excellent uniform quality all year round. Only the very best apples are selected to be packed under the PRIMO brand name, quality being of paramount importance. Primo apples are available all year round.

To guarantee exclusivity, Primo is only marketed by Devos Group.

Rubis Gold is Devos Group's newest apple. In recent years we have invested heavily in the development of this variety because we firmly believe in it. Rubis Gold is distinguished by its exceptional flavour, crispiness, shelf life and, of course, recognisability due to its yellow colour. In all consumer tests in recent years, it has consistently emerged as the winner in terms of taste and eating quality. So no expense is spared to have this apple penetrate and find its place, especially in everyone's fruit bowl.

Jonagold is undeniably a classic and cannot be missing from our range. For many Belgians, it is still the number one apple. It is a bicolour apple with juicy flesh and a balanced taste that is appropriate for young and old.

As the name suggests, this is a colour mutant of Jonagold. The redder and darker version of the Jonagold was discovered by chance among growers in our region but has now become a great success and is also a much sought-after product within our range.

For several years, we have also built up significant production in Gala ourselves.  This apple has a deliciously sweet taste and juicy, yellow-white flesh. In addition, Gala has a striking, often red and striped, appearance. Both at home and abroad, Gala has an excellent reputation, which it continues to live up to every year.

At the request of our customers we also trade other varieties such as Golden and Braeburn.
